Shin Udon
I mean... BEST UDON IN THE WORLD.
In the heart of Shinjuku, Shin Udon is a compact, no-frills spot that delivers an unforgettable culinary experience. As you approach, you’ll catch a glimpse of the magic through the front window, udon being handmade. Inside, it’s all about crisp, golden tempura and perfectly chewy house-made udon, served with a range of accompaniments that elevate every bowl.
Yes, the wait was 2 hours, but absolutely worth it. This isn’t just a meal. It’s a masterclass in simplicity, craftsmanship, and flavor.

Sushizanmai
The sushi was so fresh, we ended up stopping by twice during our trip. Once while jet-lagged, and again for a late-night bite. Sushizanmai is a standout sushi spot. It offers incredibly good value for money, especially considering the top-quality, super fresh ingredients they use.
